Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-24.

1. The Service

Archdle ("Service", "we", "us") is a daily architecture-decision training game operated as a non-commercial personal project by Samuel Orlando, a natural person based in Italy (no VAT number). The Service is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantee of uptime, availability, or continuity of the Service.

By creating an account or using the Service as a guest, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

2. Accounts

To access features beyond the daily guest puzzle, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, impersonate another person, or otherwise violate these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deletion is permanent and irrecoverable.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without prior notice.

4. Intellectual property

All puzzle content — including use-case scenarios, hints, explanations, solution descriptions, and the overall game design — is authored by Archdle and protected by copyright under Italian and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute this content without express written permission.

Fair-use citations of short excerpts (no more than 50 words per item) for the purpose of commentary, criticism, or educational discussion are permitted, provided you clearly attribute the content to Archdle and include a link to archdle.it.

The Archdle name, logo, and visual identity are the property of Samuel Orlando. You may not use them without prior written consent.

5. User-generated content

When you submit feedback (ratings, tags, comments, or proposed alternative solutions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and analyse that content for the purpose of improving the Service. You retain ownership of what you write. We will not publish your feedback in a way that identifies you without your consent. You may request deletion of your feedback at any time.

You represent that any content you submit does not violate any law or the rights of any third party.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided for educational and entertainment purposes. We make no representation that puzzle content is error-free or that the architectural decisions described are suitable for any particular real-world situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Archdle is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or from your use of the Service is limited to the total amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Because the Service is currently free, this amount is zero.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under applicable consumer-protection law.

7. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or that your continued use poses a risk to the Service or to other users. Where feasible, we will give you prior notice and an opportunity to explain your situation.

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from your profile page. On termination, all your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and bump the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 15 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Italian Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your right under mandatory consumer-protection law to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence or to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections applicable in your jurisdiction.

10. Contact

For any question about these Terms or the Service, write to contact@archdle.it. We aim to respond within 72 hours.
